Before hand I wasn’t aware touch screen doesn’t work in car play and have to use only the I drive wheels. After installation checked with the support team to learn that. The support team responds promptly for the queries.

Road Top for BMW X6 is pretty good but not perfect. The instructions are a disgrace. I have had to spend hours to work out how to navigate the system and apply the appropriate settings. It does not provide information as to how to allow 2 different drivers and switch between phones as one example.
Road Top CarPlay is a great addition to the 2012 Range Rover Sport, and you get a great price purchasing direct from Road Top. Very satisfied after my first week. The Road Top unit shipped quickly and was well protected. Instructions were adequate, but only for the actual unit. No vehicle specific trim panel removal instructions. However, I found several YouTube videos showing how to remove the dash panels and display screen. I was able to connect all of the wiring without removing the main head unit or the main center console panel, which made the job pretty easy. I ran the USB cable into the upper glove box and also mounted the wireless antenna in the same place. The instructions show 3 dip switch setting options, and it was the 3rd option that worked for me, so definitely test everything before reassembly. The second day after install I found the CarPlay unit did not respond when selecting the NAV button. The OEM NAV started instead. However, I disconnected the vehicle battery cable for a few seconds hoping it would force a reset, which it did. Everything has been working fine ever since. I did not need to contact Road Top for any technical support which builds confidence in the product. I found the volume to be much lower than other audio sources so the speakers would blast if switching from CarPlay to say the Radio. I could not find a specific control for individual source volume, but I resolved this using the Road Top EQ found in settings. I use a flat EQ profile but raised the gain across all bands to boost the overall volume. Set all mine at 7 or 8. Good luck with your own installation.
I've upgraded my Sync2 to apple CarPlay screen with no hassle and for relatively low price. Well satisfied with how it works and can't be happier more.
Relatively easy install for DIY, though needed some independent thinking beyond the many YouTube videos on hardware installation, many of which are not accurate and did not provide necessary "tricks" for hardware installation (e.g., way to make room for the huge plug of wire harness at rear of head unit). And needed some trying to configure system to enable all functions. Appreciated the prompt tech support. Android Auto and Autolink functions definitely elevated and enhanced the original infotainment system of the SUV.
Now, I can use Google maps for GPS, much more convenient than using the original BMW GPS. Sound quality of unit could be better, but acceptable.
Would highly recommend to other BMW owners.
Been using the Roadtop MMI for a week now. Pretty easy to fit but did have to remove the glovebox in my Series 2 BMW due to the limited space around the Harmon Kardon head unit. I think it is far better fitted at the side of the glove box plenty of space for the cables.
Did contact Roadtop on how to connect the box to the BMW oem bluetooth rather than aux in, this is far better. Roadtop replied with instructions within a minute on Whatsapp, cannot fault that. All steering wheel buttons are working and a lovely sound using Tidal and Deezer. Very happy with the service and the quality of the MMI.
I installed in my 2015 Lexus RX350 with factory blutooth and navigation with a joystick control.
Video and instructions involved removing concole, radio head end and display and after that is was plug and play. DIP switch settings worked as instructed. Tech support assisted via email to help me get the settings correct. Backup cmaera and steering wheel controls are all functioning as before.
Now I have SIRI assisting with navigation, phone calls and even reading text messages as I drive.

Finally, I now have Apple CarPlay in my 2015 MINI Clubman and thus also a navigation system, which does not run over the small mobile phone display. Playing music via Apple Music is also much easier. The installation was a bit tricky, but after I knew what was wrong, it went within half an hour.

The screen is the right -and perfect- size. 7'' devices are way too big for the average bike, 5'' screen are on the small size. Also, the display is very bright and has the right amount of pixels to display correctly the information.
Its a bit heavy but also feels solid and very well made

It's gives nice features to you car.android auto, carplay. I have use-olit and it was flawless. The only problem I'm that you can't ear radio in your bmw nbt evo and simultaneously ear the navigation alerts. you can only choose one audio.
