2019 Lexus IS300 F-Sport 10,25 inch screen
The Lexus kit makes available of 2 two LVDS cables (rectangle and small square connector heads), the small square fit to my screen (the first one received did not fit, I claimed and RoadTop has sent immediately the right one, took time and paid 2x installation; I would suggest to check the connector form at the back of the screen and confirm immediately LVDS connector form to Roadtop using order number as référence).
The delivery was with DHL, when shipment email is confirmed by Roadtop, it took 4 days from China to Canada. No issue with 2 shipments.
Someone has mentionned: Avoid connecting all wires to the decoder immediately; they are tough to disconnect later, and you may need to fit them into tight spaces. It is true.
I suggest to read and understand clearly both manuals before installation.
I did not use the two specific wires, labeled 'joystick extension cable' and 'screen power cable, neither the audio connection to OEM Aux Port.
(I have tried to intercept by connecting the Screen Power Cable to the OEM screen, the OEM Screen went to black out. Therefore, it was disconnected and left unused)
Install everything else and conduct a test of all OEM functionnalities then Roadtop’s functionnalities.
This kit has been working great on my car and there is no issue (for
2 weekend now). Some little lag about 1sec in switching back and forth between OEM and CarPlay mode, no complain.
I was initially skeptical when I saw the price of the product compared to amazon but the product is perfect. I had it installed by a garage mechanic who told me that the instructions were very clear and the installation quick.
I highly recommend it.
Top customer service.
The Installing was not so hard.Plug and play. It was 2 hours. The Support is very helpful.
Instructions for the GS series need a bit of additional detail since 2012-2015 have a permanently split 12" screen display where navigation always can't fill the whole screen and other info is displayed on the right side, while 2016-2019 models have the navigation screen fill the 12" screen. As a result, instructions should be updated to reflect the model years 2012-2015 which must select 7" or 8" screen size in dip switch settings, vs the 2016-2019 which can select the 12.3" size dip switch settings. With current instructions since my model is 2013 and i selected the 12.3" settings as suggested in the instructions, the carplay interface is cut-off by the OEM right-side display. Other than that the installation is relatively simple if you have the right tools and watch other folks disassembly procedures on Youtube for the head unit and display. Everything works as expected, except the joystick control is all over the place in the Carplay window area, clearly not easy/designed to work with the OEM joystick. However with some care it does work, and it's best to use Google Assistant for voice control in getting directions, or playing music etc - rather than enter them. The vendor should post the FW updates for the boxes in the portal, currently you can only get them by contacting in whatsup
