Misleading listing and buggy — avoid for the 12.3" screen

I bought this Road Top wireless CarPlay/Android Auto retrofit for my 2016 Lexus RX 350 with the 12.3" factory screen (joystick version). I regret it.
First, the listing never tells you that Android Auto does NOT use the 12.3" screen. It only fills roughly the left two-thirds, with the factory menu stuck on the right third. I paid for a full-screen infotainment upgrade and got a cropped interface. Had I known, I never would have bought it.
Second, that remaining third of the screen constantly blurs and flickers. It's maddening, and the only way to make it stop is restarting the car — every single time.
Third, the steering wheel controls cause disconnects: when I use the toggle switches to skip songs, my phone drops its connection to the module entirely. Again, the only fix is stopping and restarting the car.
So: misleading marketing, a flickering screen, and controls that kill the connection — with a car restart as the only remedy for everything. Sellers of equivalent retrofit boxes disclose the 2/3-screen limitation up front; Road Top chose not to. One star.

Bluetooth

Should make it so all audio plays with cars Bluetooth. Youtube plays with Bluetooth but no audio comes out when using google maps. Also phone mirroring audio doesn’t work with Bluetooth. Dont want to use AUX because it sucks. If all audio worked with Bluetooth it would be perfect

Great addition to my car!

Was looking to add Apple CarPlay to my newly purchased used Lexus, & after doing some research, decided to go with Road Top. Very happy with my choice! Easy installation & flawless performance has made this a great purchase.
