I was on the verge of buying another car because I felt my W212 (2014) model was really starting to show its age. However, I’m so relieved I stumbled upon this stunning display from Roadtop. It’s absolutely perfect! I initially feared the screen might be overly large and gaudy, but it turned out to be just right—elegantly designed and seamlessly integrated. The installation process was surprisingly straightforward, which made the whole experience even better. I even decided to take a day off work just to revel in it. I know that sounds a bit juvenile, but honestly, it’s that impressive!

I was upgrading from a Carplay box, and the install of this ultra thin Linux kit is super easy and just needs some tools, namely a long torx bit set. Make sure you get the latest firmware once installed, as it does fix a few things. I didn't use the BT connection, opting for the hardwire AUX connection (not the USB-AUX), as this dramatically reduced the audio latency for me and gave me 100% fast audio connection instead of waiting for BT to connect. The software still needs some tweaking to add a next/prev track by moving the wheel (not turning) right/left, instead of having to press the screen for next track. I do wish they would add a support page with the latest firmware, instead of asking over email for it, even so the response is usually within 24hrs.
